At the center of the classical chamber music concert series, which over the past four years has established itself as an integral part of the Styrian cultural landscape, is the piano – from solo to quintet. Join us when we celebrate the fifth anniversary of musikabendeGRAZ this year!
Once again, 2012 will see four evenings dedicated to aural pleasure in the atmospheric setting of the Chamber Music Hall at the Congress Graz, right in the heart of the city. This year, works by Haydn, Beethoven, Tschaikowsky, Bach, Schumann, Rzewski, Brahms and Dvoràk will be performed. In the course of the second concert a recital will be held for the first time in the history of musikabendeGRAZ. Baritone Josef Wagner and Christian Schmidt on the piano will be interpreting Schubert’s „Winterreise“.
Internationally renowned musicians will make piano chamber music come to life at the highest artistic level in the 2012 season. Apart from Christian Schmidt masters of their craft such as Peter Matzka, Reinhard Latzko, Christopher Hinterhuber, Lily Francis, Annemarie Ortner-Kläring and – as already mentioned – Josef Wagner will take to the stage.
